I have lived here for a few months now and although there are some good things, the bad outweighs them. There is duck crap EVERYWHERE and rarely is it picked up! Which then of course gets into your carpet, which I am sure they will make you pay for even though it is there fault for not keeping it clean! Also, the ducks and geese are so noisy all day and all night, there is never a reprieve. If you are a light sleeper, be prepared to wake up all night long! I thought they were cute at first but soon learned they are not that great. It is also mating season and the geese are EXTREMELY aggressive. I have been pecked at twice now just walking into my apartment. The second problem is the mold. The lease tells you not to wash with bleach because it yellows things but it is the ONLY way to keep the mold from spreading everywhere. I also have a problem with the gate. It is pointless. You only have to wait 5 seconds for someone to come in and then your in with no problems. Nice security! The only reason they have it there is to "appeal" to new tenant prospects. There is no safety in it whatsoever. The laundry rooms suck as well. If you are doing more than 1 load of laundry or someone else is doing it next to you, the water barely trickles into the washing machines. As for maintenance, they will send someone quickly to fix things but it is usually a half-assed fix and you have to be willing to let someone into your apartment when your not there because they won't do it "after hours". I personally don't feel comfortable letting a stranger into my apartment when I am not home! I had the bug controller walk into my apartment after 1 rap on the door and no waiting. Thank god I wasn't naked! They also say they don't allow dogs but it is not hard to hide them, which is annoying. My neighbor has one and he gets up early to let him out to crap (mixes in the the duck crap) and it sits there and barks as you walk by. I can't wait til my lease is up and I can get out of there! I am sure they will find something to charge me for, like I was a day late giving my 2 month notice!

I completely agree, on all points. I understand the managers have no control over the geese, but good lord if I would have known that you can't sleep I would have never considered. The only thing you forgot to mention is how there are always loud people in the hot tub after 10pm screaming, or yelling because they're drunk. "Luxury apartments" my a$$.

Oh boy do i agree with the half ass fix. Its bad enough that i've had at least a dozen things go wrong in my apartment (a bathtub that wouldnt hold water to which their fix was giving me a rubber stopper, my drains kept backing up and REEKED, my fence got kicked in from a drunken fight and they put 2 nails in it and called it good, etc etc etc) but its come to the point where i dont even want to bother to call... i know they wont fix it, and most of the time they make it worse AND make a bigger mess, like dripping oil/bleach/paint on my carpets, which im sure i'll have to pay for. Not to mention my neighbor keeps taking my one covered parking spot because she "can never remember which is hers" and then has friends/family/etc park in her spot, so i get to park across the parking lot since the 'guest parking' is always full of trailers and cars for sale that never seem to move EVER.

We are sorry that the geese are noisy. But we cannot control the widelife. The geese are protected under federal law and we cannot do anything about them. For the record, we clean the sidewalks daily but we cannot keep up on any messes on the sidewalks throughout the day, it is impossible. We do have a gated entrance but nothing will keep out everything and everybody. As far as the maintenance staff, we have prided ourselves on the quality of work or maintenance staff does. They work very hard and try to complete every work order the day it is called in. If these "anonymous" complainers would call the office to let us know they are having a problem we would promptly send a maintenance technician over to take care of the problem. We always make a quality control call the day after the work order was completed, this is a great oppurtunity to tell us that you are still having a problem or complaint about the work that was completed? As far as the lease saying not to wash with bleach. That is incorrect the lease states to clean your showers with a bleach solution to get rid of any mildew you may have caused by not properly airing out your bathroom. Also, we wish you would have come to us about the dog in your neighbors apartment. We can very easily clear up any pet violations. Also there are a few residents here that are allowed to have companion animals. These companion animals have to follow strict noise rules and if they are not we need to be made aware of them. In conclusion, please call the office for any problems you are having, we can help. We sincerely want your stay here to be as enjoyable as possible.
