For older apartments, these made a good temporary home. I just moved out of Cottonwood last week and I enjoyed my 7 month lease I had with them. In fact, if I could have afforded to renew the rent I would have. I had a 2-bedroom 2-bath apartment for $880p/m. For me to renew a lease it would have been $920.
The office staff was helpful if a bit ditsy at times. The maintanence was really good about coming in. One on-going problem was the bathroom sink and tub didn't drain very well so once a month I had to call for them to clear the drain because even Drain-o didn't suffice. But they came within 24hrs. of my call and they would leave an invoice showing what they completed if they came in the apartment while I was away.
There were problems in the beginning of my lease where cops had to be called because neighbors would get into fights and cause a distrubance, but that died down after a couple of months. There was occasional police making their runs through the complex which was more comforting than it was disturbing. It's also a gated community.
My one qualm with the apartment complex was parking. I had covered parking but it wasn't anywhere near my apartment so I rarely used it. Also, certain times of the day you didn't want to leave to prevent not being able to find a parking spot later.
