Love this place!

We have always been renters--having lived in West Jordan, the Cottonwood Heights area and Murray and now Fox Point. For the size of the apartment and all of the amenities and location, the price is great! To get a similar size place for less you have to either go farther west or south, which we aren't willing to do. Our building is VERY quiet, and all the people I meet while walking the dog have been very friendly--great neighbors. That's also a plus--you can have up to two pets--many places won't allow pets, or only one, or only very small dogs (ours is medium). The staff has always been responsive and professional and quick to make even the smallest repairs (like burned out light bulbs outside the door--not a big repair, but a safety issue). Many of our neighbors have very nice vehicles, and no one has had a vehicle stolen or broken into. The grounds are beautiful to walk, with LOTS of shade and benches by the bigger lake and picnic tables by the stream. The ducks and geese are a calming influence to observe when walking. The grounds crew also trims the shrubs around the first floor windows--which is also great for safety. We have an apartment that is built more like a home or condo--front and back doors with washer/dryer hook-ups. The floorplan is very spacious with HUGE closets in both of the bedrooms. Yes, you can rent a 2 bedroom, 2 bath for less--but often it is smaller, and not always in the safest areas (we talked with law enforcement and found out where the REALLY high crime apartment complexes are--as well as those that have lots of calls for 'domestic disturbances'--and this place isn't a problem). Unfortunately, criminals like ANY apartment complex because there are lots of people coming and going (so they might not be noticed as quickly), and they can find lots of potential targets in a very small area--one of the solutions--get to know your neighbors, their vehicles, talk to them and watch out for one another. The first thing we always do is introduce ourselves to our new neighbors and then chat when we see one another coming and going---doesn't take much time, but helps build goodwill and then you have more people looking out for one another--which makes for a safer place in which to live. Since moving in here, we found out that several people we know have lived here for either a few years, or for over ten years--only moving out to buy a home--and they had nothing but good things to say about the place and had never had their vehicles stolen or broken into, either. In fact, they have also said that if they ever had to rent again, they would definitely come back here--that says a lot.
