They base whether or not you can move in on your Credit score. My wife and I make at least 6 times the rent, we have flawless rental history, previous place we lived we were there 5 years. They only look at your credit. Yeah I have some open accounts on my credit, and yeah every month we pay off these past accounts. There are no Credit Cards, no bankruptcies, no evictions. Just small past due things we accumulated in College.

6 months ago we both purchaed new cars, we were looking at buying a house and decided to wait till next year but qualiefied for a Mortgage of $300k with no money down. So honestly if I can do these things, and have perferct Rental History, why the hell would you care if I have past due accounts'''' That is just the dumbest thing to me...esp. if I had perfect credit we wouldn't be looking to rent a $1200 apartment with medium quality ammenties and features. We would have just purchased a house. DUH!
