Even though it is right next to Pioneer Park, the apartment location is Excellent. Being able to walk to anything downtown is wonderful. The apartments are very clean and pretty well maintained. If you can get the right unit the view can be nice too.

The problems, however, are the office staff is so-so. The management company is HORRIBLE. They will nickel and dime ya to death by not informing you of mandatory renters insurance, payment for sewer and water separate from rent, "rental" of washer and dryer in each unit (50 bucks a month - ya think they've paid for them yet a few times').

Parking is not pleasant. They give free parking for a few spots that are ALWAYS full. 10 bucks a month for above ground reserved spot and like 25 for underground (we never got one, they were all full). They told us parking there wasn't bad, but it most certainly isn't good.

Some office staff personnel are nicer than others. However they all could use a bit of an attitude change when it comes to dealing with tenants and their needs. However some of that is due to the management company that imposes a lot of stupid rules and regulations, like month to month policies. Sure you can go month to month after your lease is up (and that is all they tell you at first) but then when you do there is a $50 a month fee, and your place also goes to "market value" So expect to pay like $100 more a month on a month to month.

Also asking for things to be repaired basically goes unheard. So hopefully you have nothing broken in the place. Things we had were minor, but nonetheless after two reminders nothing was fixed through our entire lease.

Also the hallways and common areas are pretty run down and not the nicest areas. It isn't horrible, but it would be nice if they kept them up a bit more.

One more thing. Why are the sidewalks not poured all the way from the inside of the complex to the outside sidewalks. Very strange and unsafe to have to walk in the street.

I would recommend the place once the office management/staff and management company change. Until then...try somewhere else.
