I have lived here over 2 years, and love the views out all of my windows of my top floor apartment. That is the only reason I am staying. There is no insulation, and it costs a fortune to heat/cool the place. The office staff are friendly and courteous (unlike what others have reported), but getting any maintenance done requires patience and constant pestering. I have reported a leak in my ceiling (from the building roof) 5 times now, without any response. The 4th time I even made an appointment to help bring attention to the leak, and they never called or showed. A second appointment is set for this Friday, we will see. You would think they would jump on a report of a roof leak considering the potential damage if ignored. Now the final straw, after renewing my lease last week with a 10% rent increase, they posted a personalized flier with my name on my door, offering to renew my lease at $74/month less than I just signed for, plus $350 off first month's rent. When I called, they said that was a mistake, and after discussing this, they finally would only honor the $350 off. I remember from my business law class that this would be considered an "offer" (like the flier said, AMAZING OFFER), and upon my acceptance, is a binding contract despite what the lease said. It would cost me too much to hire a lawyer, but I am confident I would win in court. If you cannot get a view apartment, I would look elsewhere.
