I have lived at Riverbend for almost a year now and can't wait to leave!! Yes, they do look cute, but they stop looking so cute after you car window has been smashed in due to the vandalism which occurs quite often there. The manager is not very helpful, and seems to have no sympathy towards anyone. I have seen numerous windows smashed in, tires stolen off of cars, stereos stolen, there seems to always be broken glass in the parking lot. These apartments are located in a bad part of town, where just a few months ago a man was beaten to death across the street...(not to mention the drive by shooting a few months before that). None of the other surrounding apartment complexes do back ground checks, which leads to a bad neighborhood. There needs to be security there at night. The people who lived above me were loud and rude, always throwing cigarette butts and beer cans on my balcony, of course the manager did nothing. The maintnance staff consists of a fellow who barely speaks English and has no idea what he is doing. It took him three tries to fix my heater, and two tries to fix my door knob. I haven't told them yet that my sink is leaking as I am not sure that it is worth the trouble of having someone come in three times to fix it.
