VERY unsafe, VERY noisy

We lived in Eastridge for a year. In the time that we lived there, we were evacuated by the SWAT team and saw the police on an at least weekly basis. It was more than a few times that we came home at night and saw the police dogs sniffing around the complex. Late night parties were constantly being broken up by the police. We lived directly under the model apartment, which we thought would help with the noise. Even with all the windows closed and the air conditioner on, we could hear every car that ever pulled into the parking lot, the music they were playing, and any conversation being held within a hundred yards. There is zero noise insulation. I felt bad for anyone who actually had someone living above them, because we heard every word when the management brought people through upstairs. We thought it looked okay inside, but it cost a lot in lamps since there were no ceiling lights. The office staff was very unresponsive and unprofessional--I hope you don't have to ask them a question while their favorite soap operas are on, because you will be ignored. We had a toilet that was constantly broken, and the maintenance staff seemed to make it worse every time they came to work on it. Sure, they have a gym, but they won't tell you that the equipment is all broken most of the time. The pool is freezing cold, too. Don't worry, you'll get your exercise--parking is a good long walk away. If friends come over, they will be parking in the boonies; unless, of course, they park in the fire lane like everyone else seems to. And with the fire trucks there so often (several kitchen fires while we were there), you just can't get anywhere. Your neighbors will smoke on their balcony, which will still fill the entire apartment. Oh, I almost forgot the pigeons. The chimneys are not covered at the top, so pigeons constantly flew down our chimney and made a racket. We couldn't use our fireplace because the chimney was so full of pigeon poop and nests. We even had a pigeon make it all the way into our apartment once when we forgot to close the flue all the way. And did the management do anything about it when we called' Nope, they didn't even answer the phone. There was always garbage all over outside, and tons of dog crap on the lawn because everyone has huge dogs that they don't tell the management about--BIG dogs that like to bark all day when their owners are gone. I have lived in a lot of apartments in my life, but Eastridge was by FAR the very worst of the worst. Trust me, go somewhere else. Most of the people we knew there moved within a few months for all the same reasons and just paid extra to get out of their leases. DON'T LIVE AT EASTRIDGE!
