I would like to echo everything that 1/3/09 said. These apartments are VERY small. $ per square foot is higher than the average. You can find much cheaper per sq.ft around the valley. I was here for only six months and I got the H--- out. My Utility trailer was broken into (think by an employee of the grounds) which cost me a few hundred to repair and the management just referred to the lease agreement and said they would do nothing to help me. The guy above me was run over in front of the apartments and his head was crushed, yes he died right here in front of the management office and their response' Say nothing and do nothing to help the mans family or friends in terms of money or emotional support. The Management was VERY nice and sweet to rent to me, but now that I am out of there, they tell me that not only will I not get my $150 deposit that THEY PROMISED, but I owe them an additional $80. They admitted that it was their mistake to not refund the $150 and the $80 but they said they still want the money or they will send me to collections. WOW, I am so shocked! Here I was waiting for my $150 to come in the mail and instead I get a threat! These people SUCK! Stay away from them if you like yourself! You'll fit in good if you speak spanish and not a lick of english. I think 1/2 of the complex are illegals from you know where! I called ICE while I was there and no one came.

Dear Past Resident ~ I would like to respond to each of your concerns. It is unfortunate that we experience crime in this city no matter where we live and that you have been a victim of that. As far as your acqusations about the theif being an employee of Sky Harbor I can only say that our comapny does full background checks on each employee before hiring; however if you feel strongly about this I would be more than happy to discuss it with you. Please call my direct number, which is 521-4544.
You are right it was a terrible tragedy to loose one of our residents in such a horrible way, but out of respect to his family I will not discuss this any further.
I am happy to hear that our staff was very nice and sweet to you while you were here. It sounds like there is a misunderstanding about your deposit and for damages you were charged for. Please call our Accountant Missy and I am sure she can clear up any misunderstandings there may be.
Sincerely,
Julie

I did contact Missy and I'm sure that she can not clear up this "misunderstanding'; no its more like deception. I was told when I moved in that 1/2 of my $300 deposit would be refunded if I left the apartment in good shape, which I did. In fact, I had it cleaned by a service, so it was left in great condition. Missy tells me that your people had to repair the walls and other? No, that was unnecessary work done to justify keeping my half of the deposit. I never hung up one picture while I was there, nor did I put one nail or screw in it. Missy tells me that not only will my half not be refunded as promised but that I owe another $80 and that if I don't pay soon that she will send me to collection. Ya know, if you want repeat business then people should exit Sky Harbor with the same sweetness that lured them in. Missy did point out that I was under charged my last month and I agree that I was. So, I should still be getting $50 back, at least.
Respect for the family? Did you even send flowers to the funeral, now that would of been respectful? No you don't want to discuss it because your people told you not to out of fear of liability. This is a PR problem. Doing something nice for the family would of been Christian of you, even though he was a ------, and it wouldn't of exposed you to anymore liability than was already there.
It is true that I can't prove that your people broke into my trailer, it is only a suspicion. But given the difficulty, the tools that would of been needed and the noise it would of made to brake locks and hinges off a trailer, and given that you have personnel around constantly. I would be very surprised if your people wasn't in on it as an informant, at least.
You have lost my business forever and the business of all the people that will read this. And that will cost Sky Harbor a lot more than $80. Was it worth it?
