I DO NOT like this place. I have been there for three months and I just barely found out we have to put the gas bill in our name. I knew about the power, but not the gas, they never said anything about it before or after we moved in, and we never got a notice. I work at an apartment complex and they at least give their tenants a notice to comply!! When we moved in we were told that if we were parked in the wrong spot that we would get a notice and unfortunately one day we were parked in the wrong spot. No notice, NOTHING, and our truck was towed!! When we went in to see why we hadn't gotten a notice and they told us that unless the resident wanted to give us notice then we would or wouldn't get a notice. How is that fair' So if a resident is nice enough to leave a note then they can and if a resident doesn't want to then they can have it towed'' That is definitely not fair! The people in the office don't do a good job explaining things!! We were given the wrong keys for the clubhouse, we talked to them about it and we had to wait a week to get our keys and our mail. Our neighbors are disrespectful, they play music late at night and early in the morning when they shouldn't. We've tried to contact someone about it but no one returns phone calls and they don't have convenient office hours to where we could go in and report it. We've been there three months and have not had any of our inspection list problems fixed- they were suppose to do it within 24 hours!! If I could get out of my lease, I would.

What is your problem?Have you never lived on your own before? Why would you think that someone else is going to pay your gas bill? And you had to know when you moved in that parking is assigned! It sounds like all of these "horribly unfair" things that have befallen you at Somerset are the fault of your own stupidity and lack of respect for other tenants.

Just so you know, when we moved in to somerset, the office staff was very thorough. They were very clear about the towing procedures, and they told us about the gas and power. Plus, the gas thing is pretty much common sense. We have had great experiences since we've been here. The office staff knows us by name and have ever since we signed our lease, and the maintainence people are always at our apartment within 24 hours of our call.
