Donīt Even Think About It!!! From: angelichunter Date posted: 3/23/2003 Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2003   Updated 4/21/03: In response to "funkitten88" who "lives next" to me: I am married and have not met anyone in this apartment complex. No one besides the office staff would know if I have called anything in to be fixed. My guess is that someone from the office wrote the review after mine, and if it was a resident, keep in mind that these are some of the people that YOU may be living next to if you move here... the kind of people that would call someone that they dont even know a "spoiled little brat". Here is my actual review of this complex: This place is HORRIBLE!! I am still living here, but I am moving out in a few days. This has been my first apartment in Utah (im from California) and all I can say is that the quality of living standards is VERY low! Lets start with the office staff - idiots! Dont get me wrong, they are friendly, just uneducated. An example... When I first moved in, I was locked out on my balcony... My apartment is right next to the office and I got someone to tell one of the ladies in the office that I needed to be let into my apartment... After an HOUR she came outside to give someone a tour - I shouted from my balcony that I was still locked out - her response, "Oh, I forgot." (not even an apology). Well the lock on our balcony needed to be fixed (the part had to be replaced), so they took off our lock and said they would have a new one installed in a week - 3 phone calls and 9 MONTHS later and we have no lock to our balcony - hows that for security'! Next - THE CARPET IS DISGUSTING!!! There are stains all over and someone who lived here before us had a cat that was not fixed who sprayed all over the apartment!! I am still trying to get them to change the carpet because it is so gross. I have tried everything to get the smell out and have only been half-successful with the stains (red dye, dirt, bleach, etc). They said the carpet was cleaned when I moved in. The apartment, overall, was upheld okay. As long as you know how to clean, your health wont be at risk... My health'... you might be wondering. Yes. Your health. When we moved in one of the toilets had a cigarette butt and pee in it (I smoke and that even grossed me out), EVERY window had mildew growing on it (and despite my intense monthly cleanings, still grows mildew), The cracks between the walls and the linolium in the kitchen and bathroom are VERY grimy. Basically, nothing got cleaned... ever. One of our kitchen cabinets has millworms in it and I have no idea hwere they keep coming from. I have a ton more complaints about the interior, but I think you get the jist of that. Plus, when I saw these apts online, they said they had a fitness facility (its still being planned supposedly). I dont mind the niose, but some of you might (its very niosy - LOUD car music and planes flying overhead commenly rattle my windows). There has been a VERY high rate of car vandalism (mostly keying). You have to bug the office staff for anything to get fixed. If you have standards, and especially if you have kids, I would not recomend this apt complex to you!! I have been getting colds a lot since I moved here and my doctor told me that sleeping next to a window growing mold can make you sick. I moved some things around, and Ive been fine since I stopped sleeping near the wondow. Oh wait - there is one perk - the bedrooms are pretty big... Also added 4/28/03: Today is our last day here and last night my husbands car got broken into (shattered the window) and his $275 stereo head unit got stolen. Like I said earlier, we have never bothered anyone here or started any trouble, and all we have gotten in return is problems.
