I live here currently and have lived here for 6 months. The crime is pretty bad, the parking is horrible, the whole place needs every light replaced, it just has a dim un-inviting lighting scheme outside. My friends came over one night and all 3 of their car stereo's got jacked while they were here. They were pissed, the theives just took a crow bar and ripped out everyone of their stereo's physicaly, ruining the dash in the process. There is an alarm going off every hour I'd say at night, which prompted me to install a nice alarm system in my car and to remove my stereo anytime I left the car, and to park my car not in my assigned covered space but in a none covered one right outside my bedroom window so I can watch it. I haven't had any problems with management, but I haven't really dealt with them much. The apartments AC heater and refridgerator are ridiculously old and energy ineffecient, my power bill in the summer was 200 dollars using the AC very very sparringly, and 130 when I never turned it on, the stove is a joke and is a serious fire hazard and doesn't shut properly. All that said the rent is very low so with all my complaints it's still a decent place to live if you just need a cheap apartment. Sound proofing between units is none existent too, I used to not hear my neighbors but a bunch of college kids moved in and now I can hear every conversation they have and every song they play when they are home. Office staff is decent, they wont remember your name or anything though like their reviews say. The community of people living here is varied, I'm fine with my neighbors they are very decent hard working people who are very kind. But when I walk to get my mail there are some pretty shady people living here, luckily none around my area. If they would lighten up the parking area and assign parking closer to your actual unit I'd feel a little bit safer parking in my stall. But again for the price I don't have any complaints and after reading reviews of other similar costing apartments around this area I can safely say I will be renewing my lease when the time comes.

How many sq ft is your apt? I have a modernized 750 sq ft apt.. My power bill here when im not running AC is $25 mth, and thats with my 2 PCs running 24/7 and 50 mth during hot summer mths. My stove uses an electronic ignitor which requires no pilot, saving gas and money. My gas bill is $15 mth when im not using the furnace and about 40 mth during winter months. I'm retired and home most of time which means i use more energy. Rent for me here is $498. The water heaters here hold 40 gallons and seems adequate. I've lived over here on the west side of salt lake for 12 months and have yet to see any crimes commited at this apt community. Never seen or heard of any car break ends and never seen any broken car window class on the ground. Parking is ample and not congested. We also dont pay for water, sewer, or garbage here. I also have washer dryer hookups in this 1 bdrm unit. Sound insulation here is superb. I never here my neighbors talking or doing other normal human things. I toured Springhill before and thought it was outdated and overpriced for what it was. The parking lot had enormous pot holes all over. Granited it was spring and ice had justed melted, but i wasnt going to live there and pray they that they fill them in. By the way, hows your water bill there? Did you know that you're paying to water thier lawn, run the water in the washing machines at thier laundry facility, keeping thier pools filled, and paying for mutiple people using water in one apt?. Not to mention they probably use a third party company to process the billing for water usage and those costs are passed down to you. Trust me your getting so ripped off over there.
