"Troubled Waters"

A common name used for this complex in this area is "troubled waters". And with good reason. We moved into Stillwater in June 2004. We were offered nothing less than a year lease. Management told us everything we wanted to hear. We didn't have any experience as far as apartments, so when my husband and I signed the 1 page lease agreement, we figured that was it. Wrong. Come to find out, they hadn't showed us the other 4 pages which had we seen them, we probably wouldn't have signed up. We've since had a lot of experience apartment hunting and we've never seen such an agreement as what they've got! Pretty much takes away all your rights instead of protecting the tenants that are following the rules.
The apartments are cold and drafty--which increases bills.
Walking to your apartment is like a game of hopskotch between all the duck and dog droppings.
When management drains the pond every couple of months the whole place smells horrible!
My husband and I are nervous about going outside after dark--it keeps getting scarier (lots of drug busts, police here almost every day, etc)
The management doesn't care to keep this place up. The ducks that live at the complex are fed by tenants because management stopped caring enough to feed them anymore.
Both the apartments and grounds are no kept up. Maintenance takes forever to get major things fixed.
Do yourself a favor--don't go through the hassle of this place, it's not worth it!
