We found hair painted into the walls!

We found hair painted into the walls! (Let me preface this by saying that I didn t choose Stillwater. I met my fianc after he had already moved there).
Parking is adequate, except that his assigned parking spot was on the other side of the complex .not really helpful
There is rust on most if not all of the stairs, but instead of removing the rust, maybe repainting the stairs, repaving the driveway (which it s in need of) and possibly fixing up the interiors of some of the apartments, the Management chose the paint the entire complex in two-tone shades of diarrhea. (Sorry to be graphic, but let s be honest. That s what it looks like, and there was nothing wrong with the white/teal color scheme it had before).
They raised the rent every time his lease was up, which is fine if that s what they choose to do, but it was in major increments every time they raised it, and it doesn t really provide an incentive for people to continue living there.
The dumpsters were all ways full to overflowing. Clearly it takes a rocket surgeon to figure out that you either need to bump up the number of times your trash is collected or buy another dumpster.
The staff was never friendly and always acted like it was an inconvenience to help with whatever issue we had. (Apparently they have so many people dying to move into their diarrhea colored units that it s not worth their time to be nice to their current residents).
So after he d moved out, they sent a bill for some supposed cleaning that didn t get done. Again, fine, I can handle mis-understandings, the management being picky about cleaning (although evidently not about hair in the walls .). He sent off a check, and we thought that was that until two months later when he got a bill from a collection agency! Stillwater had lost/never received the check, and apparently decided that trying to contact him would take all day, and that damaging his credit for no reason would be appropriate.
When we went down to Stillwater to talk about the collections notice, of course no one could do anything about it because either a) there is a bureaucracy in place preventing reasonable customer service b) they can t be bothered to help, and/or c) the staff lacks the skills to help even if they could.
The only silver-lining to the whole experience is that he no longer lives there.
