I am disabled and i've went into thier office on 3 diffent occasions to inquire and ask for reasonable accomodations for renting a 1bdrm apt, which falls within the price range of my section 8 voucher. And evertime, they refuse to rent to me, citing that my income doesnt meet thier eligibility requirements. They set up thier income requirements such that disabled people on section 8 can't live there, even though they are capable of paying the asking rent through Housing Authority.

Act prohibits housing providers from discriminating against applicants or residents because of their disability or the disability of anyone associated with them (5) and from treating persons with disabilities less favorably than others because of their disability. The Act also makes it unlawful for any person to refuse "TO MAKE REASONABLE ACCOMMODATIONS IN RULES, POLICIES, PRACTICES, OR SERVICES, when such accommodations may be necessary to afford ... person(s) [with disabilities] equal opportunity to use and enjoy a dwelling."

Don't rent from these bigots!
