I don't know why I stayed so long.

I'm mirroring what others have said. My mail was stolen, ($300). My car broken into three times. People hanging out inside the dumpsters waiting to go through your trash. Drugs everywhere, I even found a baggie while walking my dogs.
One night a guy came to my door looking for the next door neighbor. Apparently he owed him some drugs and the guy at my door didn't care who paid him back. I had to forceably shove the guy back out of my entryway before closing the door and calling police.
I've had to call the police a total of 19 times, I had them on speed dial. Average response time was 45 minutes, long enough for most drug dealers, wife beaters and murderers to escape.
There was 3 deaths in the complex while I lived there. A police shooting involving a suicidal man and the EMT/Fire are there weekly.
When the gates worked, there was a line of people waiting to get in because no one had the remotes. Sometimes they would drive through the exit, almost hitting you head on. Most of the time the gates were broken and left wide open.
Snow removal was weak, sometimes days before the snow was removed, by then all the footsteps from everyone turned into ice.
The appliances were ancient. The pool and hot tub were always broken. The coin-op driers did not dry.
The stolen mail was the straw that broke the camels back... they simply do not care about anything. Neither does the post office, trust me I tried.
I paid for parking but never received the memo saying I needed a sticker, so they kept putting threats and warnings on my car. Yet when someone wasn't supposed to park in the stalls, during big parties or something, they would do nothing.
I do not know why I lived there for so long... bYr9ljUwtCbMRXE8dRDC
