I have lived in these apartments for about a year. They look really beautiful from the outside, but the maintenance has been pretty poor overall. When I turned on my heater last year, it smelled bad. I called maintenance and they said it was OK. Over the next two weeks I called maintenance out several times, as the smell was very bad. I finally went to Walmart and bought a Carbon Monoxide detector ... it went off right away. Since it was a weekend, I didn't have any heat for a couple of days. No apologies from the manager or compensation. This past summer, I was invaded by insects. I wrote several requests for an exterminator ... took a month to get one. This has been the most poorly maintained apartment I have lived in, so I am going to move out at the end of my lease.

I can see maintenance being lazy, driving around in their carts with nothing to do. Not to mention that snow removal is horrible. The office will kill 20 trees to tell then tenants to not park hanging over the sidewalk - why? What snow does get removed , leaves a 12inch wide path with 3 inches of packed snow creating noting but a slick icy mess - surprised they haven't been sued yet from broken bones from falling. Noise - don't complain about that - doesn't work. The office rather have security climb in bed with you at night to "see if it is normal apartment" noise - please, running, jumping and stomping I know is not "normal". I agree, looks good on the outside but other than that - thumbs down. We have terrible spiders and in the fall we had mice!! With all the headaches you have here, might as well be a home owner - way to much $$ to live miserable!

I moved to the Adagio over near Ikea. What a huge difference. The snow removal is excellent, I received a months free rent, they have Thursday night popcorn and movies, etc., etc. The Adagio is the way to go ... Sterling Village needs a new management team who cares and it could become a first class place to live.
