I have read the other comments and I have to agree about the office staff being rude. I have lived here for over a year now and it's AWFUL!
One day my daughters bike chain fell off on her way home from school. She stopped at the office to see if she could call home. Cheryl (assistant manager) told her and I quote "You made it this far you can make it home." She wouldn't even let my kids get a drink or use the bathroom in the office.
If you have kids this is a terrible place for them. There are teenagers who do drugs outside in the courtyard. My window was broken by a neighbor child playing with a slingshot. They are supposed to have great activities at the communtiy rec center. What a joke that is. Unless you home school your kids they won't be able to go. The elementary school is 1.5 miles from the building I live in and they don't bus here. The wonderful activities at the CRC that the complex promises starts promptly at 4:15. School gets out at 3:45. My kids can't get home that fast and when the go to the CRC late they are told they won't be able to participate due to their tardiness. Of course it isn't that big of an issue since the CRC is hardly ever open anyway!

They don't salt the ice well at all. I fell today and they called me a liar when I told them that there was no salt on the ground. I had to call the Archstone Properties to get any results. I have slipped many times on the ice and complain about it frequently but to no avail. Also, don't waste your money on covered parking. If someone else parks in it (and they always do) the complex will simply give them 24 hours to move their vehicle. Of course you're screwed during that period because you have to park elsewhere.
I have lived in a lot of places in my life and I really think this is the worst.

Oh yeah, and they tell you how the apts are so "soundproof"... That's a lie. My downstairs neighbor actully complains because my husband's recliner makes too much noise when he puts his feet up.

I don't recommend this place to my worst enemy. It's really a dump for the money you pay. I have a 3 bdrm apt with 1 pet, a garage, and a covered parking spot and I pay $1083.00 per month. It's not worth it at all.
