You'd probably be fine living at Fairstone if you never needed the management or maintenance to do anything. Our move in went fine, although I was surprised how stingy they were with parking. Most complexes will give you one carport with your apt, not them. Parking by our building was ok, but other buildings I've heard are horrible. Don't ask for discounts for ANYTHING because they won't give you any, not even for resigning your lease. They seem to take the attitude that you should feel lucky that they are letting you rent from them. If you leave, oh well, no loss to them. Our apartment itself is nice. The grounds look nice but they water the lawn every single day even if they've had torrential rains for two weeks. So needless to say you can't walk on the grass because it's like a muddy stinky swamp. There is moss and mold growing on the grass by our apartment because of it. They have a swimming pool and at first glance it looks like they have a huge hot tub, but no...it's a kiddy pool! They don't have a hot tub. If you have any problems with your apt it'll probably take them a few weeks before they fix it and then it still won't really be fixed and you'll have to call them 50 more times. Make sure you save every document they give you, even if it's just a note the maintenance guy leaves. Any changes to your lease details should be in writing even if they don't ask you to sign anything. They are not flexible with move out dates and if you want to do month to month it'll cost you 1 1/2 times your normal rent. Not the place to go if you're building a house and don't have an exact date of when you'll be out. They make you tell them if you're leaving 2 months in advance, which for a lot of people is a long time. All in all, I'm pretty happy with the apt itself, just the management sucks.
