The apartment itself was really nice. The appliances were fairly new. The grounds were very well kept. And buildings appeared to be well maintained. The leasing agent was extremely accomodating upon move in. However, we felt that once we were in the apartment and the lease was signed, we were no longer appreciated as clients but instead potential problems. Although I will say that when we had any maintenance issues they were handled quickly. My roommate and I paid by seperate checks but then they left us a note saying that they would charge $5 for each check if we paid with more than one. Parking is a nightmare. We sometimes had to park a building or two down if we came in late at night. The management has an agreement with a towing company who are absolute snakes. They towed our vehicle because it was parked in a handicap space when there was zero parking available anywhere else around. They don't encourage lease renewals because they jack up the rent so much there's no way anyone would stay. When we gave them our 60 day notice (yes, 60) with our rent check on the 3rd of the month, they charged us for the first 3 days of the month after we moved! I realize that technically management has a right to collect in this situation, but was it worth the extra $75 to really tick of their renters' Someone else said that the staff acts as though you should be thankful that they let you rent there and I agree completely.
