I've been living here for about 6 months, and am transfering to a different complex the management company owns. Thompson Michie is great, but Fairstone at Riverview is okay. The parking here is horrible, you don't have your own assigned space and it's hard after work hours to find a spot near your unit. The woman up front seem nice but are incompetent, we've had our rent checks bounce twice because they can't look to see when the checks are dated, and when asked about it, they have told us "we don't pay attention to anything on the checks, we just process them." Scary, they don't check anything on them, amount, date, if it's for the right apartment number. They need someone up there holding their hands doing their job for them. The apartments themselves are nice. Except the corridors, there is always trash, bikes, and toys laying everywhere..be careful or you'll hurt yourself. I wouldn't recommend this complex, Thompson Michie has a few nicer ones, especailly the one in Draper.

You've got to be kidding me. You expect a company who accepts your post-dated check (which is not legal, BTW), along with hundreds of others I am sure, to hold it. Is this all so you can avoid a late charge, yet still NOT pay your rent on time? I pay on time every month. This is just a silly complaint. Its a nice place.

Nope not kidding you, and I never have paid my rent late either. I am a disabled Army Vet and only get paid on the 1st of every month so when I did live at Fairstone and wrote this review I used to go in a day or 2 before payday to drop off my rent check always has been dated for the first of the month (overly paranoid that it wouldn't get paid on time if I delivered it later), and they'd assure me that it won't be processed until the first on the month, and twice they screwed up, and at the time of writing this first 'complaint' I was fuming mad at it. Of course at move out they ended up making up for it anyway, so I respect them now for it. So to Mr./Mrs. Idiot that commented on 4-20-09. I love how you assumed all this was to avoid the late charge and yada yada, when you were in fact completely off base. Accidents happen, I wrote it as a forewarning, but your so high and mighty that you took this anyway you wanted and that's the way it happened. Glad that you know everything.
