I DEEPLY REGRET ever signing my lease here

My apartment is right on the golf course, which makes for a very nice view, but the view is the ONLY thing I'll miss. I am VERY anxious to move as soon as my lease is up. These apartments cost WAY too much for either the size or the quality. I've been in similar apartments and paid almost $150 less a month, which would be more appropriate for the Fairway.
The apartment is old and somewhat run-down, and was not very clean when I moved in (dirty windows, dirty fixtures, etc.). The carpet in the living room smelled like pee from day one. There is often a horrible smell from under both the kitchen and bathroom sinks that I can't get rid of with any amount of scrubbing (under the sinks is pretty nasty with all the chipped paint and mildew, etc.). The ventilation is incredibly poor, and so often the whole apartment smells musty and stuffy, even with a window open. I have to either heat a scented candle or use scented oils ALL the time, otherwise it stank. There is very little storage space in the apartment, even with the walk-in closet. The drain in the bathtub is always clogged, even after pouring a whole bottle of Drano down it, so I always take a shower in 3 inches of water. I've seen more than a few bugs in my kitchen, including cockroaches. No matter how much I clean and scrub, this apartment still feels really DIRTY.
The maintenance is a joke. When I first moved in, my toilet was leaking water from the base all over the floor every time I flushed. The first time I called it in, they came and did a quick caulk job, which did nothing to fix the problem. I continued to call in every few weeks, and finally 3 months later they replaced my toilet--with a new one that didn't flush well and still leaked water. Now my dishwasher is broken, but I'll probably be moved out before they come to fix that. It never worked very well anyway. Maintenance came by to check filters a few months ago, and in less than 5 minutes proclaimed everything great, even though the vent in the bathroom is FULL of dust and who-knows-what, and there is occasionally a strong mildew-y smell when the air conditioner runs.
As for the community, my apartment, being in the back by the golf course, is relatively quiet, so I can't complain about that. I use the laundry room only as a last resort (usually I take my laundry elsewhere), since the washers don't clean very well, and many of the dryers don't have any heat. Basically, I'm wasting money every time I use their laundry room. The fitness room consists of a few weight machines, an exercise bike, and several broken treadmills. The picnic areas consist of a dirty table and a filthy grill. The grass is always covered with dog poop. During the winter, a large number of potholes (some HUGE) formed on the roads inside the complex; these weren't filled until July. When it snowed, it was usually a full day before the stairs and sidewalks were cleared. My boyfriend's car was broken into while parked in the general parking area, and his stereo was stolen. The lamppost lighting the sidewalk near my apartment was burned out when I moved in, and the bulb still hasn't been replaced. The grounds are really nothing spectacular: the only nice thing is the golf course, and mgmt can't really take credit for that.
Bottom line: This place is a DIVE. Can't wait to move out!
