Increasing Utility Bills

Water/gas is not metered but instead is pro-rated to include common area usage. My utility bills have been increasing every month. Water/gas used to be around $40/month. This is for a two br, with 2 occupants. For Aug 03, my water/gas bill was $74. This is outrageous for a two/bedroom apartment.
Electricity ranges around $120-$140 per month. Again, I feel this is out of line for other apartment buildings in the Alexandria.
You have no recourse but to pay-but I will not renew lease because of these ever increasing utility bills.
