Would think twice......

I started off loving this place - for the first month. Everything looks so pretty on the outside, but inside it's just become rundown and not maintained over the years. Don't get sucked-in with their enticing move-in specials. Bad plumbing - the kitchen sink in my unit has flooded almost every week since I moved in 8 months ago-and now mold stains appear on the ceiling. Since they couldn't fix the problem, they hired an outside contractor and they trashed my unit - noone was monitoring them and the kitchen still floods. Other tenants have had similar issues with water either in the kitchen or bathroom. I got a great move-in special and don't pay utilities, but the tenants who do pay are furious about the huge costs each month, including paying for common-use areas. I believe the monthly utilities are running about $125-$250, depending on the size of your unit. They cutback on a lot of amenities and that's also become a sore spot. The media center has 3 computers, but only one of them works; the other 2 are very, very slow. They didn't pour salt outside during Winter and a few tenants had bad falls. The gym equipment downstairs is worn and substandard. The new Property Management team is friendly, but you just get the feeling they don't know what they're doing. A lot of people are moving out and I think this buidling will eventually turn into a low-rent facility.
To be fair, they keep the grounds and lobby area spotless. The units are large with pretty views. Even the small 1-bedroom is comfortable for one person. Noise from neighbors is minimal - concrete floors. There's plenty of open parking and you can pay $75 for a reserved garage spot, if you want one.
