Best staff, nice apartment

I have never associated with better staff. The leasing office and concierge are super friendly, genuine, and helpful. The maintenance staff are polite, efficient, and everything was fixed almost immediately. The apartment building is nice enough, but will be much nicer when they begin a huge remodel later this month. Utilities are a bit high, but that's because one entire side of the apartment is lined with huge bay windows. I think the trade-off is worth it. The complex is full of small dogs, so if you hate dogs this is not the place for you. The rent is a bit high, but I think once the new fitness center and deli are remodeled it will be OK. The pool and spa are very nice (no indoor pool). We're in a two-bedroom and I really like the layout. Every room is really big and the space is used efficiently. If you have children, the atmosphere is friendly enough, but there is nowhere for them to play (no grassy area, playground, place to ride bikes, etc.). My biggest complaint here is that my children and I have to walk through a cloud of cigarette smoke everytime we walk in or out of the building - especially in the winter. But if you will be contributing to the smoke cloud, then you obviously won't care. My other complaint is that visitors have to park a block BEHIND the building, but can only get in through the FRONT door. It's a bit of a trek and frankly, ridiculous. I've never had a problem with resident parking and always found a space. Overall, it's not been quite as luxury as billed, but they seem to be addressing that and it's still very nice and a great atmosphere. We've enjoyed our time here and are only moving to upgrade to a 3-bedroom.
