Abbott's Run

Lovely place to live From: melidory Date posted: 8/20/2003 Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2003   I lived in Abbott's Run for a year. I absolutely loved it! From the begining, the deal was great. My roomate and I got the first two months rent free. And, we didn't have to put down a security deposit. Plus, for a delux two bedroom, two bath, I think the price is very reasonable for the quality. Had we lived closer inside the beltway, the prices would have soared and the quality would have lessened. Parking was phenominal! Always open spots and nothing reserved. Great if you entertain guests often. The GW Parkway is practically right across the street, (as is Mount Vernon) which makes for easy access to Old Towne Alexandria and DC. And 95 is right around the corner. The only negative issues I had with the establishment was slow maintenance, which you'll find practically everywhere, and no cell phone signal in the immediate area. I don't know if it's because of Fort Belvoir being so close, or all the trees. Other than that, I think Abbott's Run is a fabulous place to live. Guests always commented on our apartment and I loved coming home after work to a peaceful neighborhood. Had I not purchased a home, I would have stayed.
