Let's just list all the problems (hopefully there is enough room):
- We didn't have AC for the first 3 weeks that we lived here, it was 90 degrees (hotter inside the apartment), they could not fix it, and we had to complain multiple times before they would provide us with a temporary window unit. Oh, and by the way, my wife was 7 months pregnant at the time. When it was finally fixed, it ran but no air was coming out of the vents. I couldn't get them to look at it so I ended up having to take the vents off and stuffing pieces of cardboard in them to keep the dampers inside propped open.
- Parking is awful. You have to park so far away it's pathetic.
- The dumpster is constantly surrounded by a giant pile of trash.
- The entire time we lived there, our fridge made a loud "clunk" every time it stopped running that would wake us up at night. Never could get them to do anything about it.
- The washerdryer was a stackable and they had the smallest capacity I've ever seen in my life. They looked like they belonged in a motor home. And they were so old they never worked right. Every time the washer went on spin cycle, it made a loud noise and we had to open/close the lid repeatedly until it would catch and start spinning.
- The windows were painted shut.
- The dishwasher did not work for the first 3 months we were there, with multiple futile attempts to fix it by the inept maintenance staff.
- We had a problem with the upstairs neighbor throwing extremely loud parties (where the police were called in). Nothing was done.
- We had a problem with another neighbor's highly aggressive dog coming after us on multiple occasions. I'm sure they are still living there though.
- The staff is inept and the manager spends her day hiding in her office, leaving her employees to deal with the constant tide of complaints from renters.
- When our lease expired, they wanted to raise our rent another $100 a month unless we signed another lease.

Since this complex changed ownership to Klingbeil, things have gone from bad to worse. I have only been here two years but have seen how maintenence has dwindled to nothing. the things we feel should be covered in our leases are being ignored because they think we have no power. Do we?
