Ok, maybe I'm just having a bad experience so far. But I have lived here for all of 5 days and am already having problems. The second day I moved in, I discovered to my dismay that the washer did not work properly. Despite my calls to management, it has still not been fixed and is still half full of now stagnant water. That same night, I opened the screen door to the balcony and it promptly fell off. That hasn't been fixed yet either.

I am on the 3rd floor and the shower floor creaks like mad. The entire apartment floor vibrates nearly 24/7 due to the helicopters continuously flying above (it is very close to Ft. Belvoir).

As for price, this is an 864sq ft apartment and is $1140/mo. While the rent is not out of line for the area, it is still pricey for the sq. footage. The closet space is ok, but there is no outdoor storage and no pantry in the kitchen. There are 3 phone jacks...which would be plenty, but apparently the person who lived here last had multiple lines and so only one jack is activated. Not convenient.

When I signed the lease, the apt. manager said she would have the apartment cleaned again since it had been sitting for awhile. Yet, there were spiderwebs in every corner and dead bugs on the windowsill. Good cleaning job.

All in all, the apt. itself is not awful and is pretty peaceful for the most part. I see trees from my windows, which is nice. But for me, it is not worth it if I cannot get things fixed in a timely manner.

I hope it gets better because I am stuck here for a year, but so far, I would not recommend this place.
