It's the best of the worst...

I have lived in Abbott's Run for almost two years, and have luckily not had any major maintenance issues...because the minor ones were difficult enough to rectify. The pluses are usually ample parking (unless they decide to take on a big paving project and don't give you the notice until the night they are towing vehicles and you are out of town); allowing pets, although most owners do not clean-up after them outside; and that although bordering on less than safe neighborhoods, it's pretty quiet overall. The trash situation is a pain - you have to carry your own to the big compactor that at least once a week is spilling down the steps. Out of three windows in the apartment, one opens. Lucky to have a washer/dryer, although not much bigger than a coffee can. Although usually polite, some of the office staff are really clueless.
It's the best price for being so close in to DC, and nothing is worth the money anymore anyway.
