I have lived in a loft apartment at Abbott's Run for a year now. The apartment is very large with three full bathrooms and overall is a good value for the money, considering the area. However, the major gripe I have is maintenance. When I moved in I indicated several items that were broken in the apartment and it wasn't until last month that they began to fix the items. That was after several phone calls and letters. We also had a broken toilet that took over a week to fix, with the explanation being that we had two other working ones. Basically, you get tired of constantly calling management to fix the same item and then they try to say that you must not have informed them. Luckily, for us, we kept documentation of all contact, so they actually did fix some items once we were able to prove months had gone by between requests. Additionally, they require a nonrefundable cleaning fee. When we moved in, however, the floors were filthy, the blinds were gray from dust and dirt and the carpets were stained. If it weren't for these issues, I would highly recommend the apartments for their affordability and location.
