I've lived at Abbott's Run for over a year now. I've never had any problems with management or maintenance. The few times I've needed work done, I've been satisfied with the response. A friend of mine recently moved in and management was very helpful with getting him settled and at his request, met cable installers at his home when they came to hook up, so he did not have to take a day off from his new job to be there. Management also accepts packages requiring signatures from UPS/FedEx etc. It's comforting to know that I don't have to play the "we missed you again" game with Parcel Delivery Services after paying high rates for expedited shipping. As helpful as management is, they are not nosey or harassing. If they need something from me, I get a quiet, professional note on my door.
The rates Abbott's Run charges are very competitive with similar styles of housing in the area. The community is quiet and the only traffic I hear is from the neighbors. There is a nature park right across the street and a bike path. We are just down the hill from the BX and Commissary, as well as the Base Community Pool, although my kids enjoy spending the days at the pool right here in the apartment complex. They have never felt threatened walking or playing outside.
As with any home, it is what you make of it. If you are the type to complain about things and talk about people behind their backs, you will be able to find faults with your neighbors and the management. Those complaints multiply when neighbors who have this same trait in common get together to share horror stories and plot ways to get even or find justice. Unfortunately, the people who complain about everthing are usually the ones that frequent these review boards.
If you are looking for a new home, I encourage you to come to Abbott's Run, look at the complex, meet and speak with management. Ask to speak with neighbors who may have had personal experience with any concerns you might have. Check with Fairfax County Police Department for a review of crime activity in the area. If you do decide to become my neighbor,I ask that you understand that everyone has the right to live in peace. If I am making too much noise or disturbing you, I hope that you will take a moment to introduce yourself to me face to face or with a pleasant note. Be courteous, I may not be aware that I am disturbing you. If a polite visit or note does not correct the problem, a second mature, professionally-worded notice would be in order informing me that you may have to escalate your concerns to managment or law enforcement if the disturbance continues. By following this process, we will all enjoy living here. vWhRVi5nYYIuEh4W7K3l

No, I am not assocated in any way with the office. And as far as your problems are concerned, every complaint has at least two sides....without knowing both sides, you really have no idea what the real truth of the matter is.
