Hello all! I had never heard of this site before now and when I logged on I was surprised to see some of the comments! I find it hard to believe people are having so many "problems" within the community and with the management. There are a couple of things that I would like changed or updated like new appliances in my apartment (without having to pay $100 extra for the upgrade" but after speaking to the manager I understand why they can't change appliances just because of my wanting them to look "pretty".And it is good to know that it is an option. Don't get me wrong they don't look that bad just a little aged. My frig was acting crazy but after maint. came promptly, might I add, tried to fix it a couple of times but they did end up replacing it! Everything else works great. The only other issue I have is my tiny W/D. Now I am the only person in my apt and most of my clothes go to the dry cleaners but I don't know how a large family is able to deal. That is no business of mine thou;-) Any issues I have in my apt have been fixed right away. They even came in and cleaned my carpet (that was new when I moved in) when I renewed my lease. I think what people need to do is understand that you are a renter and if you want things done the way you see fit then you have to purchase your own home or pay a buttload of money at an apt comm. with all new stuff and most likely a smaller space. I think that Abbotts Run is kept up very well inside and out to have been here so long!! I have even seen them pick up dog poo behind some of my lazy neighbors. The only improvement I see as necessary is the lighting outside. We are in a secluded area were it gets very dark and the building lights don't seem to be enough some times. Maybe the county could help them with that! When it comes to management I find them consistantly very pleasent, professional and helpful.
Bottom line I really like were I live and how peaceful it is here! For those of you that have found yourself having a hard time I hope things turn around for you because it really is a nice place to call home, at least until you buy your own!
