Living here is a total nightmare! There are kids who smoke weed outside the buildings all the time, loud people partying, and a very unhelpful staff to say the least. It takes MONTHS for them to fix stuff sometimes. My dishwasher has broken since the day I moved in. And it has been over a year since I moved in. The upstairs was leaking through the smoke detector and the Maintenance man said he was to far away to fix it, even though it was an emergency and could have caught the whole apartment complex on fire. And he was in Burke which is only 30 minutes away. Neighbors leave trash out on the balcony. I have come home on many occasions and found kids outside my neighbors door while she was at work. Maintenance has come to fix stuff finally and never finishes the job. And left a big whole with duck tape around it on my ceiling. My neighbors deck railings is held on by to rusty bolts and two rusty nails. And my deck i can't even walk out onto because the boards are all pulled up and rusty nails everywhere. Not a good place if you have a big dog, cause they will blame you for others not picking up dog poop. Kids steal the dog poop bags and takes the Maintenance weeks to put some more out. And Maxine says its a complimentary, then why aren't they out there! How am i supposed to pick up poop if there are no bags'
There have been break ins and spray painted cars. The kids are really noisy and disrespectful.

The washing machine is a stackable one and i have to run the thing more then once to get my clothes clean. The place is outdated and you can see spots were multiple layers of linoleum have been added to cover up the disgusting under floors. BTW there is mold in my bathroom ceiling!

Overall I would never recommend this place to anyone. If there were to be one reason i liked about this place. Is that its so close to Ft. Belvior. If your military don't move here either. Just move into Woodlawn, much safer area!

I pay way to much to get this kind of treatment.

I am a former residence of Abbott's Run. I lived there from 1990 to 2004 and Loved it. The neighborhood was quiet and not much trouble occured at all. This is very surprising to me to read these things. There were no kids smoking weed outside of buildings, staff was professional, things were quickly fixed and the grounds were clean. My family and I lived in a two bedroom with a den. Funny to say Abbott's Run was one of the nicest apartment complexes in that area. Im sorry you couldn't live there when they would pay attention to the persons they would let into the neighborhood and when things were all good....SORRY

I had the same problem when I moved out! They claimed that my dog messed up the carpet to the point of having to replace it! Please do your walk through when you leave. I believe they have the maintenance people go in and mess up the carpet and any other things so that they may have a reason to charge additional money on your account when you are moving out! Beware people of those early termination fees? Don??????t expect to have it waived, regardless of what your circumstances may become! Please do not ever be one day late on the rent. Those nice late charges will be there to greet you with a smile $195.00. You will find the notice on your door when you come home after 5:00PM! Just keep smiling??????so that the maintenance crew will not get you, especially the over weight one who rides the cart. Watch out for him!
