I lived at Abbott's Run for almost 3 years. The rent increased over 200 dollars in that time and the management changed ownership about 4 times. The general office staff and maintenance staff were the same, but fairly unhelpful. The assistant office manager does almost everything and is overloaded with work, so a lot slips through the cracks. The maintenance team is shoddy. We had major cracks in our walls and ceilings, serious ant issues and the final straw - three times within 8 months we had water pouring through our ceiling because of water issues. Combine all of this with the fact that it's down near Ft. Belvoir which can be a bad commute if there is an accident and you might rethink this decision. On the good side, the apartments are very pretty and it's a nice roommate setup. The area is fairly quiet - more family oriented - and because of it's close proximity to the Army installation, it's pretty safe and "siren free". You can also have pets which is a plus!
