I lived at Archstone Newport Village for for three years. In the beginning, I had problems with rodents (i.e mice) and I lived on the top floor. So you can imagine my surprise when I noticed a critter or two. If it wasn't for my cat, catching them, I would have been a nervous wreck. I went to management and told them of my problem and they immediately, sent someone out to located the where the mice were coming from and plugged the holes. The seemed to take care of my rodent problem. However, I believe having the trash receptacle inside the building, is a major factor in the rodent problem. With regard to maintenance requests, they seemed to be very responsive. However, my major issue was with the AC, it never seem to work no matter how many times the maintenance crew came to fix the AC. It always seem to blow air, not cool air, just recirculate the air, so I would have a problem with humidity in my apartment. It became so humid during the summer months that I purchased a dehumidifier to remove the moisture from the apartment. However, I did like the large bedroom and the ample space my apartment had and I enjoyed my balcony. I would recommend this place if you requested a top floor apartment, at least you would be free from the noise of foot movement above you.

Why did you rate them only a two yet recommend Newport Village? Odd, a two is very low.
