I sat at my computer last night before finally deciding to go to bed. I needed to get my meds out of the kitchen and what did I see running towards the refrigerator' Yes, another mouse. I was distraught. All I could think about was the long hours I'm putting in to pay the rent, to live in an apartment COMPLEX full of mice. I'd read others talking about more than one mouse but I thought the gods had smiled on me and I only had the one about a month ago, and he was gone. Silly, silly me! I"m just counting down until I can say "Goodbye forever" to this ratty ass, over priced, mouse infested village!

Newport Village cant solve the simplest of problems; sealing open holes in each apartment is not rocket science however it takes an act of God and a call to headquaters to get it done. I listened to a rat scratch in my walls until I guess it finally died there after a few days it was horrible and yes they want them IN your apartment and NOT trapped in the walls. They are infested with rats and mice and I think the city of Alexandria health department needs to know about each and every case. If they dont take care of it maybe the city will. I ran into a hysterical neighbour screaming and ranting about the mice in her apartment and how they refused to treat her apartment until she could produce droppings from said rodent, that's a good way to run business huh?

If you need mouse dropping I can probably bring a bucket-full. I've had rodents in my ceiling and walls for 2 weeks and aside from the scratching and mouse olympics all night, I get to hear them defecating. It sounds like something dropped a bag of marbles when they expel their waste, the droppings roll and bounce around forever. I'm surprised the Staff haven't suggested that I just get a cat to get rid of my problem...

I haven't seen "Stuart Little" since the one time. But with all the things I'm reading here, I won't be letting my guard down. It's insane! And please tell what's up with all the trash, furniture and fixings being left in front of buildings these days. ESPECIALLY on the weekends. I've cancelled any thoughts or ideas of holiday/birthday functions at my apartment. FIVE months to go and I'm out of here!!!

I LIVE IN THE APARTMENT COMPLEX AND YES IT IS VERY INFESTED WITH MICE!!! MY HUSBAND GOT UP FOR WORK EARLY ONE MORNING AND HE SAW ONE RUN ACROSS THE FLOOR.HE PROCEEDED TO CALL ARCHSTONE AND THEY SAID THAT THE PEST CONTROL ONLY COMES ON TUESDAY!! WELL THIS WAS LAST WEDNESDAY. MY HUSBAND WENT TO THE HOME DEPOT AND GOT SOME TRAPS AND SET THEM AROUND THE APARTMENT.. HE SET 10 TRAPS AND CAUGHT 9 MICE!!! I WAS SCARRED SHITLESS.HE RESETS THE TRAPS EVERYDAY AND EVERYDAY HE CATCH ONE OR TWO.. I HAVE NOT GONE IN THE KITCHEN SINCE HE FIRST SAW THE MICE..WE ARE IN THE PROCESS OF LOOKING ELSE WHERE TO STAY... IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING STAYING IN NEWPORT VILLAGE THINK AGAIN....
