We have been living at Newport for nearly 2 years. I think one of the reasons that we've been somewhat satisfied so far is that we're on the top floor. Noise seems to be one of the biggest complaints here. I would definitely only consider living here if you're in a top unit. Also, until recently, we lucked out by not having any bugs problems, although we just found a lot of mice droppings behind our couch last week, so now we're grossed out. We're planning on moving soon, so we're not worrying about it too much. Overall, the best things about these apts. are the space, ours has a washer dryer, and the location. The rent plus utilities are now way too high. I've done a lot of research into other complexes around here, and there's definitely other ones to consider. Since this complex has such a high turn over rate, management really doesn't care if you have a complaint, since they know they will just get someone knew. We've made complaints and pretty much their response has been to just move out. Don't expect customer service because that's not how it works here. I hope you this info. will be of some use to people who are apartment hunting.
