If you are thinking of moving here, RUN! I lived there for 1 year and it was the worst rental experience of my life ( and I have had quite a few). The grounds look a mess, because the majority of people who live in the community have dogs that they don't clean up after, so beware of stepping through the grass! People take their trash outside and put it near the sidewalk instead of putting it in the trash room, which makes the air smell terrible. The apartment is overpriced, because the heat insulation is terrible. The community is a fire hazard because even though the lease specifically prohibits grilling on the balconies, almost everyone resident does it anyway, and has their grills in the open! The maintanence is extremely slow in fixing problems. I had a concern with my windows and they weren't fix til 5 months later. My stove did not work for at least a month, but I was still charged gas! The leasing office consultant never seemed to be too informed when it comes to addressing a resident or property concern. The ultities you pay as a resident are not based on your usage but your building's usage, so it was always a surprise when the ultity bill came. The property is still very old despite upgraded tile, carpet, and appliances. There have been reported traces of lead in the paint, so this place is not safe for children under 13. Overall, keep looking, don't settle into this place and expect for it to feel like home.

Um, she was talking about the paint, not the crime. Big difference.
