I SCREAM UTLITY SCAM !!! $200 month in utlities and no a/c!!

88 degree outside, 98 degrees INSIDE, a/c isnt turned on yet but our utlitiy bill is $200 a month for a one bedroom AND we were out of town for two weeks, you do the math!!
Utilities are a complete scam this should be illegal, $200 a month!!! That's a condo fee!! I was out of town two weeks last month and that was my bill, they don't bill you for what you use but ratio billing and now everyone cramming two families into one bedroom and we are paying for it!
Right now there are tons of new, nice renovated CONDOS for rent in the area, since real estate has been a little slower and prices for condos are dropping the price for renting said renovated condos is low. And they are in BETTER condition then these apartments here. Archstones thinking is sales are slow for real estate; less people are buying houses so rent thus should increase. It's all fun and games until the million plus new condo conversions in the area turn into rentals, why would anyone rent at Newport Village when they can have a new condo with stainless steel appliances and hard wood floors for much cheaper' Better yet prices to BUY these new condos will be cheaper than renting here at archstone for $1500 a month and you'll get the tax benefits and equity of OWNING a home. Something to think about
Who gets up at 5am on a Saturday and Sundays morings'' My upstairs neighbors that's who. They walk a round for 2 hours in the bedroom getting dressed, shoes and all; fake timberland boots for him (they make him an inch taller) and pleather boots with a chunky heal for her. Then they sit/walk around and watch TV ALL day, they NEVER go anywhere, not even to work. But they spend all day with their BOOTS on walking around. I know this because I can hear everything, when they have sex, when they shower, when they use the bathroom, and when they yell and sneeze. And since this is there FIRST apartment, they have NO IDEA how to walk in a non-ape manner. Mommy and daddy are paying their rent and they are clueless.
IF YOU WANT A HUGE HEADACHE AND A VERY UNPEACEFUL LIFE MOVE HERE. IF YOU WANT TO BE RIPPED OFF ANF LIED TO MOVE HERE, IF YOU LIKE HEAT, NOISE AND HORRIBLE SMELLS MOVE HERE.

Utlilties are not done by how much YOU acutally use that is why when you were away its still $200 a month, its done on ratio building and I have seen the utlities increase at least double in the last year and thats because of the New residents moving in with families of 4-5 living in one bedroom apartments, as many people as they can cram into each apartment, with this there has also been an increase in vermin including, ants, roaches, mice and rats. You cannot possibly keep a one bedroom apartment clean when theres 5 people living in it. Therefore this problem is just getting worse. Good luck to you.

THANK YOU!!! YOUR THE ONLY ONE WHO HAS MENTIONED THE OBVIOUS!!! THERE ARE WAYYYYYY TO MANY PEOPLE LIVING IN THESE APARTMENTS. WHEN THERE ARE FIVE PEOPLE IN A SMALL ONE BEDROOM THERES GOING TO BE PROBLEMS! I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE NOTICING THIS RECENTLY. THE PEOPLE AND THE SMELLS MAKE THIS PLACE FRANKLY UNINHABITABLE. ANYONE EVEN CONSITERING THIS PLACE NEEDS A REALITY CHECK. LOOKS ARE DECIEVING. THERE IS NO WHERE IN THE WORLD WHERE 888 SQUARE FEET SHOULD= $200 A MONTH IN UTLITY BILLS, THIS IS WRONG AND ILLGEAL. WHAT THEY ARE DOING IS VERY DISHONEST AND ILLGEAL AND I WILL BE LOOKING INTO THIS FURTHER.

The smells are unbearable at time as is this heat. As of May 10, 2007 still no heat and its been in the upper eighties for about 3-4 weeks now.
