My review title says it all its quite frank and honest. There are too many roaches invading our apartment and management could care less. Crime is an issue here as there has been gang violence and gang tagging happening as well as car thefts and breakins. The Alexandria Police Website has the daily incident reports and almost every night West BRaddock road is featured on it. The apartment builings really reek of curry and bad cooking smells which never seem to go away. And although managment has said that taxis are not allowed on their property overnight there are two cabs parked in front of my building all night long.

Last night I hit my rock bottom, sweating all night long with no a/c is making me really pissed off. Why do I pay this much money for utlities they do not provide' I'm tired of this whole living sitation and I will be moving on as soon as my lease is up.

Dont be fooled by the lying leasing staff remmber they MAKE A COMMISION WHEN THEY LIE TO YOU AND RENT YOU AN APARTMENT. They care about money and only money dont be a fool. Look someone where else. These posts are very honest and you should be happy you can walk away now.

I concur; there is bad cooking smells such as curry,garlic and onions which fail to go away. These buildings need updating period. They are worn down, stairs are missing, rugs are stained and lighting is terrible. Managment would also benifit going door-to-door to see how many people are occupying each unit.

You can see that NPV is near some not-so-great areas, but the area itself doesn't have a big problem. (Of course, there may be underreporting) The buildings seem to vary widely in quality. I live in an updated building on the Fillmore side--all stairs are there, and we just got brand new carpet put in the stairwell about 2 weeks ago. The lighting in the stairwell of my building is fine--but a lot of the sidewalks outside could be better lit. We had roaches. Archstone sprayed about a week after we submitted our request, and we haven't seen one since.

Actually javajive711, go to the police blotter this month and see the on the 4800 and 4700 blocks of Braddock the have been stolen vehicles. And as a victim of a stolen vehicle here at Archstone not long ago, I can speak first hand it does happen. Also what about the graffiti on the playground last fall that it took management more than 3 months to clean? Hmmm...

Are you for real javajive711 I check the police web site often and I see first hand the amount of crime that happenes here. Did you miss the home invasion last month or the cops running around on foot with guns drawn this sunday morning???? It's in the Washington Post. Sorry javajive711 but you're misinformed.
