upon moving in to this apartment, things started off a bit rocky. first my leasing agent wasn't the most helpful and certainly didn't come across as very eager to gain my business. Afterwards, when my tub clogged after day 2 of living in my apartment, i was told it was my fault that the drain clogged up. later, i put in a work order for my for closet door to be fixed and it never happened. then i recieved my second power bill and was none to happy. on top my outrageous rent, they expected me to add nearly $200. When I called to see what could be done about this, i was told by a very helpful office lady that if i wasn't satisficed, i could move. how very helpful was that'
i should have seen from the beginning that it wasn't going to work out, but i needed an apartment and this one was in a great location. but location, it seems, means nothing when it comes to customer service. and i'm stuck. i mean, i do plan on moving to another community but for a year i'm stuck with archstone. the plus is i can move to another archstone community with individual meters without breaking my lease, the minus is that it's still with archstone.
i have never in my life been told by any customer service representative that if i was unhappy to go somewhere else and I was shocked into silence when i heard it from the lady on the phone. archstone's promo is great customer service, willing and able to work with you to make your apartment your home. but that's not the case at all. they aren't willing and able to work with you, they are will to tell you to move if you aren't happy.
other problems:
i can hear my neighbors all day long. sometimes i feel like the people living above me are going to fall through the ceiling. they can't go anywhere in thier apartment that i don't know about and on occasion, i can hear them talking.
i live right beside the waste area so when people drop off thier garbage, i here them coming and going. while convenient for me, it's horrible to wake up to the sounds of doors slamming shut both coming and going.
guest parking is inadequate and too far away.
good points:
parking is adequate, with plenty of parking around my apartment
apartment size is great, though kitchen could use some more counter space
comes with a washer and dryer
