Pretty to look at but a hard place to live

I lived here for 2 yrs. A friend of mine still does and is moving out in Jan. or Feb. after being a 7 yr. resident. The utilities are really bad. My old roommate and I are always hot so we never turned on the heat in the winter only to get huge $100 monthly utility bills. The management won't tell you but they are not individually metered so if you have 5 other units in your bldg., you are paying 1/6. In the summer, the inadequate air handling system, which has to be turned on by them by the way, never gets below 80 degrees. It can't handle humidity so fans in every single room are necessary. I had to have a fan blowing directly on me to fall asleep. Summer utility bills hit $200.00 and you get nothing out of it. Most maintenance requests are handled, if half-assed. Usually takes repeated calls to them. The towing company they contract with is the WORST I've ever dealt with. There is a chance they will tow friends legally parked in the guest parking spaces. The scumbags over there will lie and say it wasn't in a guest spot. My friends and overnight guests began taking daily pictures of where their car was parked and leaving signs in their car that read, "I AM LEGALLY PARKED. DO NOT TOW." I was visiting my friend a month ago and had my OWN car towed and it was legally parked. Cost me $150.00 and time off work when I did nothing wrong. The management didn't care and could only give me standard bs about making sure you are legally parked or you will be towed. Yeah, I was legally parked!!! The apts. are spacious and it's a very pretty property with lots of trees. It's not super noisy unless they rent to scumbags (which happened and took many calls to the police to get them out). Plenty of parking for residents. Display your parking sticker or get towed. The swimming pool is nice in the summer but you have to go late to avoid 10 to 20 screaming children being ignored by their parents.
