Archstone Newport Village

Overall, my experience has been a pretty good one. The only problem I have had since move-in was when a storm knocked out the power in my building for 12 hours. That really could not be blamed on management but on the power company for taking so long to come and fix it. I moved here from Kingstowne where I was paying $1600 for an 1000 sq ft apartment. My rent here is only $1345 for 1195 sq ft. That to me seems like a good deal. Also, the utilities are reasonable. In Kingstowne, my electric bill alone was between $150-200 per month. At Newport Village, the utility has never been higher than $175. Sometimes the office staff seems stressed out but, I have witnessed some really nasty people inappropriately yelling and cursing at them so no wonder they are stressed. As far as maintenance is concerned, I have never needed to call them so I cannot say if they are fast in response or not.
