Last year I started a lease on a one bedroom apt here despite reading some of these reviews and thinking 'well it can't be that bad.'
I can't say its the worst place ever, but they give you more headaches than they should for the amount you pay in rent. When I moved in I was supposed to get a $500 special promo fee refunded; it took nearly 6 months of me reminding them and asking to get that paid. They took 2 weeks to turn my gas on when I moved in. Nothing gets fixed within 24 hrs... there was a rain storm and some windows flooded. I reported the problem, they came dried out the carpet but didn't fix the window! They've towed my car even when I was legally parked with the correct decals (they paid for it to get out of impound but made me walk 3 miles to get it...) I would have probably stayed here, but this year I got a letter saying my rent was going up $350/ month! When I told them of my intent to vacate they 'lost' my 30 day notice so I had to cancel my move date and postpone it after they lost it or pay a fee. The office staff are completely disorganized, they don't stand behind that 24 hr service promise, and as soon as you become a resident here and sign the lease it goes from looking great on the outside to being a real pain on the inside.
The few positives are that I haven't had the pest problems others talk about; although I do spray around the doors and windows. The units are pretty big and when I moved in it was in great shape. Great neighborhood to live in, my neighbors are pretty quiet. The day to day is okay, but these guys will give you more headaches than its worth at these prices!

We lived there for 2 years (2005-2007) and the windows were flooding then. We lived on the lower level and our apt. was badly flooded. They had to take out large amounts of drywall (leaving our home open to anyone and everyone due to the fact that the wall between our home and the laundry room was opened up....don't even get me started on the fact that the workers there were horrible....even to the point of eating our food and leaving the trash behind as proof!!) and we had a major run around. They had to put us up in a hotel for 3 weeks while it was repaired. You'd think they would have learned their lesson and got the problem fixed, but they never did. Water came right in the window well by the trash room. They also like to charge you money a year after you move out, so be sure and save proof of your final bill and payment! They sent a bill to collections without ever even contacting me. I've called several times and they take a message and never call back. Unorganized doesn't even begin to explain the office staff!!
