No your not crazy $200 a month for utilities for 800 square feet unheard of ASK ANYONE. Sewer fees of $60 a MONTH (just to flush the toilet is utterly outrageous). One month the gas charge will be $4.00 (and somehow that's divided between over 900 units!!!! and the next month it will be $90. $30 a month for water bills' Most SINGLE FAMILY HOMES in the area pay that QUARTERLY not monthly!!! If that's not enough we then have to pay $5 a month for them to bill us, and we are also paying TWO trash companies that that Archstone is in litigation with!!! There is obviously something illegal happening here. KEEP copies of ALL you bills and REPORT THIS ACTIVITY IMMEDIATELY to the office that regulates how these properties bill residents. The kicker' These apartment ARE EQUIPPED to individually meter the water (those white things on the faucets and on the toilets) they CAN regulate what you use but they don't. They do "ratio billing" which is unfair and illegal if they are not regulating it "correctly."

If enough residents speak their mind, maybe this will be fixed and we can recoup some of our money. I definitely see a class-action lawsuit here. DO SOMETHING.

I will be calling, i moved out in August and they sent me a bill for utilities for the last 2 months. $280??!! PER MONTH? This is rediculous.

My latest utility bill was $409!! This includes a sewer bill of 116.82. Can anyone actually explain why this is so high because I cannot. I'm contacting the Corp Commission ASAP and also contacting corporate to figure this out. Just because we have an Alexandria address doesn't mean we are independently wealthy.
