Palazzo - the buildings and management are WORTHLESS!

After yet ANOTHER trip to the leasing and sales office, I can officially say they are the rudest and most worthless people to deal with. Don't expect them to listen or care about you problems because they don't. Make sure you read your leases/contracts because they like to pull all sorts of stuff {coming into your apt. to show it to potential buyers (what's a model home for'), charge you for parking although it clearly states in the lease that EACH lease signer gets a spot....the list goes on}. It would also be good to have a lawyer on hand when dealing with their BS because they usually back down when they know they're wrong. I can't imagine that more people don't call them on their BS.
Looks can be deceiving as far as everything else goes, but don't be fooled. Get to know your upstairs, downstairs, and next door neighbors well because you will be a part of their everyday life, whether you like it or not. You can look forward to hearing them cook, clean, play music, watch TV, and use the bathroom, amongst other unmentionable things. So much for privacy in your own home! If these new "friends" aren't enough, don't worry because you'll become very familiar with the Fire Dept. since they come to the complex atleast once or twice a week, at all hours of the day and night. God forbid there's ever a real fire because we'll all die from not evacuating, thinking it was another false alarm. What else is there...oh yes, parking....for awhile residents didn't have to pay for parking because they were "waterproofing" the deck. Since then, 2nd parking spots cost $80, yet for some reason the deck still floods. Pray for no rain because otherwise you'll be swimming to your car or ice skating in the winter. Parking permits have again (for the 3rd time) been assigned...didn't they realize it didn't work the first 2 times' And their solution if someone parks in your sport' Call the towing company which means you have to waste your time waiting for them to come remove the car that's in your spot. Since Palazzo came into the picture, office hours have been one of the numerous things to change. They must have known how many complaints they'd get and decided to make it virtually impossible for residents to complain. There are little to no office hours outside of normal work hours, and you can also forget the weekends. If you can't get to the office, there's no way you'll make it to the Post Office which closes earlier to pick up packages since the office no longer excepts them (Palazzo often likes to send mail with delivery confirmation so you MUST go to the PO to pick it up...thanks!). Don't even think about having packages left at your door because most likely they'll be stolen. Theft is rampant around here. And Palazzo doesn't help with this problem, but rather encourages it. Their DAILY letters/notes/reminders in your door will indicate when you're not home. God forbid you leave town. Several residents have asked them to slip it under the door and while they've said they will, they don't because they don't care.
Let me again reiterate the horribly rude and incompetent staff.
Let's face it, these are apartments, not condo's. Anyplace that has changed hands so many times has obvious problems. Don't waste your money, there are brand new condos across the way selling for similar prices to our complex with is 5 years old.
GOOD LUCK to those unfortunate enough to have already bought!!
