Overall the community is satisfactory. It's the people that makes the place. But the management is inadequate - save for the maintenance crew that are always courteous, pleasant, and responsive.

If the management thinks that a pool party or similar event makes for building relationships with their residents, then they are sorely mistaken.

I filled out a survey for the management more than 6 months ago and check marked the box to contact me about concerns I raised in my form. To date no one has ever given me a call. If that doesn't speak to management's attentiveness, then I don't know what will.
