Positives and Negatives

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2006
My wife and I have lived at Cameron Court for almost two years and have generally had a good experience. The office staff is helpful and maintenance work is done quickly when needed. We live on the end closest to Telegraph Rd and away from the trains, so we have not had complaints about train noise, though I imagine if you live on the other side it would be pretty loud. It is about a ten minute walk to the Metro--in the middle of winter and the height of summer a shuttle would definitely be appreciated, but no luck. Good location, with quick trip to Old Town and easy access to Beltway.
Like any apartment complex around here, the nice looks are mostly cheap veneer. Windows and walls are paper thin and it can definitely be drafty. Rent goes up about 7% per year, so after two years we are thinking about getting out. Note that there are lots of dogs, so if you don't like dogs (or dog poop--the owners are less than considerate about picking it up) this may not be the place for you. All of these "luxury" apartment complexes are really the same and your choice will ultimately come down to location and rent, and on that criteria this place matches up well.
