If you have a serious complaint about a place like this then I can t imagine you would be happy in an apartment much anywhere. Yes, it's pricey and I doubt anyone would argue that point, but come on should we really be complaining about that around here anymore. If anything, we're lucky to be in the DC area and to have as many options as we do for jobs, entertainment and living arrangements/locations. Compared to a lot of the apts I lived in around this area, you get a lot more for the money here respectively.
The amenities here are good with a dog park, pool, free guest parking, walking distance to metro, gym, indoor bball court, business center, etc. on site. If you are super sensitive to noise be careful when you pick out your apartment. Stay away from traffic thoroughfares (Eisenhower Ave & Metro rail yard) and social gathering places (pool, dog park, etc) and get as high up as possible (top floor (4th) is ideal). Be educated, know what you want and know what you don t want before you sign a lease ..don t allow yourself to be a victim.
Not sure what that one poster was looking for in terms of security, place feels pretty darn secure for me....especially when I leave my key card in my apt or at work and can't get in during the middle of the day or late night. My apt door has two deadbolts and a security alarm ..and again I choose to be on the top floor after considering security.
In terms of the few lease complaints posted, here again don t be a victim. Read your lease COMPLETELY before you sign it. Read everything COMPLETELY before you sign it, so many people just sign things on a glance these days ..so dangerous. The office staff left my girlfriend and I alone for as long as we needed to review the lease materials. We eventually asked them to come back and sit with us, when we then asked them about a few questions/concerns before we ever signed one document relating to the lease.
I haven t had to deal with the mgt office or maintenance too much as I really haven t had any major issues with the place so I can t speak to their demeanors or usefulness with a breath of experience. When I have dealt with them, they ve been responsive and courteous enough to us.
Basically, if you re looking @ moving to Cameron Court (or anywhere else for that matter) make sure you know exactly what you want in an apt, lease, etc. and figure out ways you can get that from an apt community and or lease in advance. We re completely happy with our decision, our apt and the community.
