Poor job if any done by maintenance on apartment repairs From: jenniferecarl@hotmail.com Date posted: 3/31/2005 Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2005   Only the first work order, upon moving in was addressed in a prompt manner. Every other work order/maintenance request we have put in for our apartment has taken up to weeks to even get someone to come out. The most recent problem I have already called in three times, and left two unreturned messages. Does the office staff check messages or just not care to return them' Being in the apartment leasing industry I know it gets busy, but you just don't ignore calls all together, or at least not if you want to provide good customer service. A few times maintenance has not even come to fix the right things. I requested wallpaper that was never removed from a previous tenant be taken down in only the bathroom, which was specified several times, they took it all down in the bath and kitchen, left all of my kitchen belongings in disarray and there were paint chips and splatters on the floors counters everywhere. I spent that whole night cleaning the kitchen and bathroom as well as putting everything back. Today they came in, who knows what they did, the note they left is illegible and I was a nanny so I'm pretty good at figuring most chicken scratch out. They still have not done any work on the patio that I have requested but they did leave my patio light on I guess in case I needed to see in the middle of daylight, either that or to run my electric bill up. They also closed the bathroom door to shut off any entrance for my cat, which is ON FILE for a reason, hello, there's a huge box of kitty litter there, cats do go to the bathroom during the day and early evening. I am just fed up right now with both the office and the maintenance staff because it seems to be a combo of both incompetences. I did leave a message for the property manager but am not expecting a call back, isnt that sad' Everything else about Barton seems nice, but if the staff sucks, then soon the Barton as a whole is going to fall apart, who's running this place' P.S. this is only after a month of living here.
